The
privacy of our members if very important to the Board of Directors of Kaskaskia
Valley Credit Union. We want you to
understand our policy, what we collect and how we use it.
About
Member Information
Our
staff takes great effort in handling member information with care.
We have defined the procedures we will use to further ensure that member
information is handled with great care.
We
restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you only to those
employees and officials who need to know that information to provide products
and services to you. We maintain
physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal
standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
So
that we can make more informed decisions about extending service to our members,
we may collect nonpublic personal information about members from several
sources:
Information
the member has provided on applications or other forms;
Information
about member transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and
Information we obtain from consumer credit reporting agencies.
We
may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above to companies
that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions
with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
We
may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated
third parties as permitted by law.
If
you decide to terminate your membership or become an inactive member we will
adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
Member Expulsion Policy
(Adopted by the Board of Directors February 12, 2004)
POLICY GOES INTO EFFECT MAY 1ST, 2004
In the interest of protecting the assets of the Credit Union and maximizing dividends to members, the board of directors adopts the following policy. This policy provides for expulsion of members who have caused the Credit Union a loss or who have engaged in actions that put the credit union at risk of loss or liability. Expulsion may result, upon board action, in the situations described below.
Expulsion Criteria. Member-caused loss that may subject the member to expulsion action by the board of directors includes the following:
Members failure to pay amounts due under a loan. "Amounts due" include, without limitation: principal: interest; fees and charges; financed insurance premiums; collection agency charges or attorney's fee incurred in collecting amounts due under a note or guarantee, in repossessing and liquidating collateral under a security agreement, or in obtaining a deficiency judgment.
A member who files bankruptcy, but signs an enforceable reaffirmation agreement or otherwise voluntarily makes arrangements to repay all amounts due, will remain eligible for membership.
Member's failure to provide collected funds to cover share account withdrawals or to cover personal chare drafts.
